This trip has just enough splash to remind you that you’re on a river but leaves out the intensity of the Shoshone Rapids, giving you plenty of opportunities to kick back and take in all that lower Glenwood Canyon, Glenwood Springs, and South Canyon has to offer. You’ll have a chance to take a dip in the Colorado River. If you’re good, we might even let you soak your toes in the hot springs.

Fact: Our favorite time to be on the water is late-afternoon. Modeled after our popular Shoshone Short rafting tour, the 4 o’clock Special has you going roundtrip from the boathouse to Shoshone and back in a little over an hour. But we make it special by swapping out the raft for inflatable kayaks below Shoshone rapids.

Guided Duckie Adventure
Do you like being in control? Or you’re at that point during your vacation when some physical separation would do the group some good? Hop in an inflatable kayak (aka, duckie) and join us for a guided Glenwood Springs kayaking adventure on the Colorado River. This Colorado River kayaking trip takes you through the beautiful lower Glenwood Canyon, the community of Glenwood Springs, and South Canyon. On your guided half-day adventure you’ll navigate Horseshoe Bend, check out the natural hot springs that flow into the river, paddle the Glenwood Springs Play Wave, and top your experience off with South Canyon Rapid.
