Colorado Snowboard Guides

Our Story

Who we are

“In operation since 1994 and formally known as Colorado Bike and Ski Tours, CBST has since been revamped and rebranded to create Colorado Adventure Guides and sister company Colorado Snowboard Guides. CSG is Colorado’s premier snowboard specific guide service. Created by riders and for riders we are a grassroots and local guide service that was developed with you in mind. With the increase in lift prices and capacities, more and more people are now starting to venture into the backcountry. With this increase CSG noticed the demand to fulfill an outlet for snowboarders to further their skill-sets off-piste through courses in backcountry education, guided trips, and mentorship while helping spread the passion to others. Located in the heart of Colorado, our office is our sanctuary and our goal is to bring you into the backcountry to experience what this beautiful world has to offer. Experience life #beyondtheresort”

Join CSG and Colorado Adventure Guides on our AIARE Rec Level 1 Avalanche Course. This is a 3-Day course that combines both classroom and field instruction to introduce participants to the hazards of traveling in avalanche terrain. Traveling in the backcountry requires a solid understanding of avalanche risk and the knowledge to mitigate these risks through appropriate terrain assessment and decision making. Our AIARE certified leaders and instructors will teach you how to recognize, manage, and minimize these hazards and reduce risks.

The Snowboard Mountaineering course was developed to teach skills and decision making for traveling through technical terrain with your snowboard. This is a course in which we will be covering a wide array of topics emphasized on traveling through intermediate to advanced terrain. On day one we will learn and overview many “hard-skills” including use of crampons, an axe, and rope management. Next we will start to focus on trip and route planning, communication, and emergency response to prepare ourselves for our decided objective. Afterwards, the group will plan a snowboard mountaineering objective and head out into the field on day two to setup camp for an early start on our objective on the day three.
