AVA

Our Story

Who we are

AVA’s goal is always to set the bar for our industry: from guides and training to guest service, outposts and gear. We know, we might be tooting our own horn a bit. But otherwise, how will you know? At AVA, we specialize in creating unforgettable outdoor experiences in Colorado. In addition to world-class whitewater rafting on eight different rivers across Colorado, we also provide zip line tours at two locations, rock climbing, fly fishing, horseback riding, off-road tours, train rides, hot air balloon rides, cabins, and camping. If you’re looking for an unforgettable outdoor experience in Colorado, you’ve come to the right place. At AVA, we specialize in creating unforgettable outdoor experiences in Colorado, and we take pride in giving you the best adventure possible. Our Commitment to the Outdoors This year, we are committed to getting you outside more than ever. While the first part of 2020 has been tough on all of us, we want to be here for you to help clear your mind and get outside. We can’t think of a better way to start the healing process than by flying high through the alpine trees on our zipline course. We will be modifying all of our trips so they are safe, but we can’t think of a better way to spend time this summer than exploring everything Colorado has to offer outside. We are committed to getting you outdoors, so you can enjoy everything this great state has to offer.

3 Day Overnight GuidedFishing Trip

The 3 day overnight fly fishing trip combines both float and wade fly fishing and camping to create the perfect Colorado adventure. We’ll provide the meals and gear, you just bring that fishing license and a sleeping bag (we can also provide you with one for a small fee)!

A camping fishing trip allows you the opportunity to cover more river miles which means you will wake up to a fresh, new section of river each day with different fishing prospects ripe to explore.

You’ll meet us at our outpost to check in and final packing before we head to the put-in for a quick casting clinic with our guide before we hit the water. We’ll float fish down the Colorado river for a few hours before stopping for some lunch and then continuing fishing all the way down the river until arriving at our campsite. At camp we will get settled, enjoy some drinks, play river games, hike, etc. while your guides prepare a delicious dinner. After dinner you will be welcome to spend your time wade fishing, hanging around the camp, or just relaxing until we light the camp fire!

The second day will begin with a hearty breakfast and a bit of wade fishing before we hit the river again. We’ll float fish for a few hours until you are ready for lunch. We’ll continue to float fish until arriving at the campsite where we will once again enjoy dinner and hanging out at camp.

The third day will begin with a hearty breakfast and a bit of wade fishing before we hit the river again. We’ll float fish for a couple of hours all the way to our take out location where we’ll have lunch and head back to the shop!
